Welcome Pastor Bode!
Last week we officially welcomed Pastor Seth Bode as our new Campus Pastor when we was installed. Pastor Bode has already jumped into teaching and is getting to know the amazing students and staff here at MLHS. We’re so blessed to have him and his family join the Lancer Family.
Dine with the Principals
Last week Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Lakeshore Lutheran School principals for their quarterly meeting! A special highlight: some of our students had the opportunity to meet and enjoy lunch with their principals — a cherished tradition that began years ago and continues to bring joy each year.
What’s Happening This Week at Manitowoc Lutheran High School
Week of October 20–26, 2025
A Historic and Action-Packed Week at Manitowoc Lutheran High School
This week marks a milestone at Manitowoc Lutheran High School as the Lancers celebrate a historic achievement: for the first time ever, two MLHS teams are seeded #1 in the WIAA postseason—Varsity Football and Varsity Volleyball.
🏈 Varsity Football capped off a perfect 9-0 regular season, dominating opponents with a combined score of 396-78. This not only secured the top seed but also set a new school record for most points scored in a single season.

🏐 Varsity Volleyball finished with an impressive 29-9 overall record, going undefeated in conference play (6-0). Even more remarkable, the team didn’t drop a single set during conference matches, sweeping all opponents 18-0 in sets.

🏃♂️🏃♀️MLHS Cross Country teams wrapped up their conference season with strong performances across all divisions:
Team Placements:
Boys Varsity – 6th place
Girls Varsity – 5th place
Boys JV – 4th place
Girls JV – 2nd place
All-Conference Honors:
2nd Team: Max Ciha (14th), Temperance Farmer (19th)
Honorable Mention: JJ Sweney (29th), Urijah Millen (30th), Maddie Wusterbarth (26th), Isabella Eick (29th)
Personal Milestone:
🎉 Max Ciha achieved a lifetime PR with a time of 18:14!

Congratulations to all runners for their hard work and achievements!
These accomplishments reflect the dedication, teamwork, and excellence that define the Lancer spirit. With post season races, playoffs and regional championships ahead, the excitement on campus is palpable.

LS & Jazz Band Tour

The Lancer Singers and Jazz Band hit the road this week with visits to St John Lutheran School & Daycare, Maribel, Wisconsin and Morrison Zion Lutheran School —and what a day it was!
At Maribel, our students shared their talents through music, handed out candy, highlighted the many awesome opportunities at MLHS, and enjoyed lunch and recess with the kids.

Then it was off to Morrison, where some of our Lancers joined the 1st–2nd graders for a sneak peek at their musical rehearsal, while others visited the PreK classroom. Meanwhile, the rest were busy trying not to get “captured” by students during a lively game of gazebo tag at recess!
We loved connecting with these future Lancers and sharing the joy of music, fun, and fellowship. All the photos from the day can be seen HERE.
Academic Awards
In case you missed it- last week we announced our Academic Excellence Award winners for the 2024-25 school year. Students who maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher for both semesters earned an academic award, letter, or pin in honor of their dedication and success. To see the story CLICK HERE.
