Homecoming Spirit Shines at Pep Rally & Open House!

Wednesday’s Pep Rally and Open House were a fantastic celebration of school spirit and community! We were thrilled to welcome grade school-aged children to campus for the second year of our Homecoming Hallway Voting Contest. With 139 votes cast—up from 102 last year—the enthusiasm was unmistakable! The Sophomore class took home the win with their creative pirate-themed hallway

A special shoutout to Immanuel Lutheran Grade School, which brought in the most votes at 31, followed closely by Bethany and Newtonburg, who tied with 26 votes each.

In place of our traditional bonfire, we welcomed four food trucks to campus, and the turnout amazed each vendor—they’re already looking forward to next year!

To keep the cozy vibes alive, Student Council set up five portable fire pits where students enjoyed making s’mores after the thrilling championship powderpuff game, which ended in a victory for the senior girls

Thank you to everyone who helped make this night a memorable part of Homecoming Week, we look forward to next year!

Leadership Conference

ree

On Tuesday, October 14 we had an incredible time at the 2025 High School Leadership Academy Day, hosted by the Wisconsin Lutheran College Christian Leadership Program! We were thrilled to bring 11 of our juniors to join over 250 students from schools like Fox Valley Lutheran High School, Grace Christian Academy, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, Kingdom Prep Lutheran High School, Shoreland Lutheran High School, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, and Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

Our students were especially inspired by the keynote from Derek Deprey, a proud Manitowoc Lutheran High School alumnus (Class of 1998) and WLC alum, whose leadership insights resonated deeply. The day also included engaging breakout discussion groups and a great lunch. a big thank you, WLC, for hosting such a memorable day of leadership and fellowship for our student leaders!

WLC Concert Band Visit

On Monday, November 13 we welcomed Prof. Daniel Hubert and the WLC Concert Band for an inspiring musical collaboration. In the morning, Prof. Hubert guest conducted our MLHS Symphonic Band, with WLC students (spot the Lancer alumni??) joining our talented high school musicians.

Later, they worked one-on-one with our Junior Lancer Bands (5th-8th graders), sharing their passion and expertise. Between rehearsals, the WLC ensemble led a beautiful hymn sing for our students and parents!
