MLHS Calendar

MLHS Dual Credit Options 24/25

Late last week we received two great pieces of news, Miss Charis Scharf announced that she has returned the call to serve at St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St Paul, MN. Mr. Nathan Hochmuth announced that he has returned the call to serve at Arizona Lutheran Academy.  We praise God they both will continue to serve here at MLHS. Also, late last week, Mr. Mark Moldenhauer returned our call to teach English and Geography

Mr. Nathan Meitner, who currently serves in our social studies department as well as leading our Shining Through Christ group still hold the call to teach at Sola Fide Academy in Lawrenceville, GA. Rev. Daniel Bondow is still holding our call to serve in the Theology department.

On Saturday, 2/17 the MLHS Student council hosted their annual Charity Casino & Game Night in the MLHS commons and senior center. It was a night of great fun and fellowship for many our students and teachers.

Our students played casino style games such as blackjack and poker, others tried their hand at a high stakes game of Uno! Many of our teachers were dealers, and we even had some alumni return as guest dealers! Many thanks to all those volunteers for helping make this an amazing night!

All the money raised throughout the evening was donate to one of three places, Abiding Peace Lutheran Church in Simpsonvlle, SC, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and the Capital Campaign. The grand total raised for the evening was $1,425, what a blessing! To God be the Glory!

Attention Lancer Nation!

Our annual grade school wrestling meet is fast approaching. Each year this event is run entirely by volunteers, all workers and food is donated. All proceeds made are returned directly to the future education of these students. The funds raised provide vouchers to ALL STUDENTS (grades 3-8) who participate in our Lakeshore Lutheran School Academic Fair on April 13! Sign up by CLICKING HERE

Thank you for helping make this another great and successful event as well as helping to provide high quality Christian education to all!

Employability Grades

Next Monday, if you go onto PowerSchool, you will notice a third employability grade. This is a non-GPA influenced grade on three topics: communication (with each other and to the teachers), quality work (is it late, messy, of high quality?), and self-discipline (do they make good use of their time, are they driven?). This is the third time we have done this, so you can compare the first and second grades with the current ones. In addition, several comments were given about each student. Please reach out to your child's advisor for more information on what those comments are or why they received the grade they did. Remember, the grade is either a 1, 2, or 3. A 1 means they need improvement, 2 means they are on track, and 3 means they have exceeded expectations.
