Lancer Passports 2022.23
Each Year our Admission Director Mr. Ryan Holper visits our Lakeshore Lutheran Schools (LLS). This year he has made his way through the first five; Bethany (Manitowoc), Immanuel (Manitowoc), First German (Manitowoc), St. John's (Two Rivers), and Zion (Morrison). Mr. Holper was on a quick mission. Deliver to our current 5th-8th grade students their all-important MLHS Passports. If Mr. Holper didn't get to your school today don’t worry he is making more stops tomorrow, and in the future for the schools who are still enjoying summer! Why today? Home sporting events are starting very soon!
If you are new to one of our Lakeshore Lutheran Schools, or have a student in grades 5-8 for the first time, this will be new to you. For those of you who are veteran parents hopefully you are familiar with these, if not here is a quick refresher.
Who gets a Lancer Passport?
All students grades 5-8 in a Lakeshore Lutheran School.
What does it do?
A Lancer Passport give FREE admission to all home Lancer sporting events!
Students should bring their Lancer Passport to receive free admission. With each admission the students will receive a stamp in their Lancer Passport. When they have earned six stamps they win a Lancer Nation t-shirt and are automatically entered into a drawing for an iPad. When a student reaches 12 stamps they are entered into a drawing for $1,000 MLHS tuition voucher.
How did it all start?
Back in the summer of 2014 Mr. Kevin Buch, who was serving as the MLHS Admissions director at the time, went to a conference held at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. While there he learned that Wisconsin Lutheran High School did something similar. Over that summer a couple of tweaks to the Wisco version were made and the Lancer Passport was born! When Mr. Ryan Hoper accepted the call to MLHS to serve as the Admissions Director he decided it was definitely something we would continue.
Why do we do this? We want to provide a fun, safe and loving environment for our Future Lancers to come meet their future classmates, build lifelong friendships and cheer on the Lancers. We want them to witness and be a part of this thing we call the Lancer Family, where we work hard, play fair, and always preach Christ Crucified.
Some of our past winners are now at MLHS! Currently freshman Abbie Behnke and junior Madison Luebke were tuition winners, while freshman Will Franzen and senior Jenna Lischka both won iPads.
