Lancer Boys Lose Close Game to Ozaukee Warriors

The Lancer boys varsity basketball team went into halftime with a 32-27 lead, but ultimately lost to Ozaukee High School by a score of 63-59 Tuesday in their lone game last week.

The Lancers were led by senior Ethan Menges who recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Noah Czarneski added 12 points. Senior August Hecker also had 12 points to go along with his 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Junior Aidan Franzen hauled in 7 rebounds.


The Lancers are now 7-9 overall with a Big East Conference record of 4-7. JV1 lost to Ozaukee as well and is now 8-6, and JV2 suffered a loss to Sheboygan Lutheran on Tuesday and now has a 2-9 record.

On Tuesday of this week the Lancers host Big East South opponent Oostburg (8-8) (6-6 Big East South). JV2 starts the night off at 4:30pm, with JV1 to follow at 5:50pm and varsity at 7:15pm. It will also be Parents' Night. This is the night for the boys to recognize and thank their biggest supporters!

Then on Thursday the Lancers travel to face the Tigers of Howards Grove. The Tigers (14-3 ) (9-3 Big East North) are currently 2nd overall in the Big East North conference standings. When the Lancers met them in the third game of the season, we were defeated by a score of 57-46. JV1 and JV2 are scheduled to start at 5:50pm with varsity to follow at 7:15pm.
