The Lancer boys varsity team won its Big East North conference matchup against Hilbert this past week. The Lancers led 32-20 at halftime and held on for the 63-54 victory. Sophomore Noah Czarneski led the team in scoring with 15 points. Senior Casey Stanzel added 12. Fellow senior Ethan Menges had 11 points and 11 rebounds to round off the top 3 scorers. Senior August Hecker had 7 assists and 6 steals.
The Lancers (6-7, 3-5 Big East North) have now won 4 of their last 5 games. Menges is currently second in points per game with 20.8 and Hecker is first in assists per game with 5.8 in the Big East North conference standings.
The JV1 team also came home with a victory over the Hilbert Wolves in their only game this past week.
The Lancers will be in action twice this week. On Tuesday, we host the Rams from Random Lake (4-7, 1-6 Big East South). Then on Friday, we travel to face the top-ranked team in the state in D5, the Reedsville Panthers (12-0, 8-0 Big East North). We faced the Panthers in the first game of the season, losing by 12 points. That game was played without Menges, who was out due to an injury.

5:50 pm - JV1 at Reedsville
7:15 pm - Varsity at Reedsville
