The Lady Lancer varsity basketball team held a 1 point advantage at halftime against the Tigers, but a cold shooting second half doomed them in their 23-43 loss on Thursday night at Howards Grove. The Lancers were also outrebounded by 12 rebounds in the contest.
Leading the way for the Lady Lancers was senior Aubry Schleis with 9 points.
JV1 came out victorious against the Tigers.
The Lancers (2-2) (1-1 Big East North) have 2 home games this week. On Tuesday, the girls face Kohler (1-3) (0-1 Big East South). JV2 starts the night off by facing N.E.W. Lutheran out of Green Bay at 4:00pm. JV1 plays Kohler with an approximate start time of 5:50pm with varsity to follow at 7:15pm.
Then on Friday the Lancers host the Mishicot Indians (3-0) (2-0 Big East North). Mishicot is the defending Division 4 state champion from last season. Even though they have lost all but one of their starters from last year's championship team, the first WisSports poll has them ranked 6th in Division 4 through the first week of play.
JV1 starts the night off with tip off at 5:50pm with varsity to follow at approximately 7:15pm. Let's pack the stands on Friday night to support our Lancers in this big game!
