The 31st Lancer Golf Classic is in the books!
First and foremost, thank you to all of our sponsors, golfers, alumni, volunteers, students, faculty and staff who made this amazing event possible! Like most years, the golf was average and fun was had by all! This year we had 20 teams, a total of 80 golfers make their way to Elkhart Lake, to golf at Quit Qui Oc Golf Club for the four-person 18-hole scramble.
For those who are not familiar with what a four-person scramble and may consider golfing in the the Lancer Golf Classic in the future. Each team of four starts at an assigned hole. Each member takes a tee shot. All member take their second shot from the location of the team's best first shot, and so on. Each hole has a two putt maximum, meaning if you have a team of weak putters...do not fear you will not be stuck on the greens all day. Playing scramble style golf allows for players of all ability levels to participate and have fun.
Golfers were also able to play in hole games throughout the day. Including:
Longest Drive, Longest Putt, Out-Drive the DMA, Closest to the Line, Marshmallow Mash, Ring of Fire, Closest to the Bell, and Closest to the Pin in 3. All the games were free to all golfers and were awarded with raffle tickets to be used at the winners discrecion for prizes following the round. Again this year Maritime Ford sponsored three hole-in-one games, unfortunately no one was able to sink one and take home the new car.
Again this year our donors did not disappoint and we were able to send many golfers home with great prizes including:

Each year we hope to make the Lancer Golf classic a day of laughs and fellowship while raising funds for our athletic department. This year we are happy to announce we raised over $16,000. These funds will go a long way in helping us to equip both our current facilities and our upcoming addition of the new gymnasium through our Capital Campaign! None of this is possible without our supporters who generously give to support the mission of MLHS. We are in the beginning stages of planning for the 32nd Lancer Golf Classic which will cater to golfers of all skill levels, including separate divisions.
