Computer Application LTC 0011 (9)
Computer Application is a required one semester skills course offered to freshmen. Students will learn the “touch method” of keyboarding, that is, to locate and control the keys and operative parts of the keyboard by touch. Through practice, students develop speed and accuracy thus allowing them to improve print communication skills. Students will also acquaint themselves with Microsoft Word 2010 allowing them to see it as a tool for present and future applications. Students will be exposed to creating and editing flyers, research papers, cover letters, and resumes.
Word II/PowerPoint * LTC (10,11,12)
This semester course, an elective offered to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, is a continuation of Computer Applications and will train students to use and explore the advanced features of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Students are also taught how to effectively prepare documents and presentations through additional online applications.
Excel/Access * LTC (10,11,12)
This semester course is offered to sophomores, juniors, and seniors and will train students to use and explore the advanced features of Microsoft Excel and Access. Students will learn the advanced features of Excel and Access, as well as create spreadsheets and databases for coursework, professional and personal use.
